Sunshine
Professional Hoop Dancer, Instructor & Mentor
Katie Sunshine is an Arkansas-based hula hoop performer, instructor, and creative entrepreneur whose career began with a spark of inspiration at a music festival in 2008. After being introduced to hoop dance at that fateful festival, Katie was inspired to teach herself the trade. What started as a personal hobby quickly evolved into a professional career after one of her YouTube videos went viral in 2012. Since then, Katie has amassed more than 18 million YouTube views and has performed for audiences across the United States and around the world.
Her performance credits include appearances on ABC's The Gong Show as well as music videos for Jerrod Niemann and The Record Company. While Katie is passionate about performing, her greatest fulfillment comes from connecting with others. Drawing on her background in elementary art education, she is dedicated to helping hoopers of all ages build confidence, creativity, and skill through movement and business management.

Katie Sunshine made my daughter's birthday party an absolute blast! Everyone got all dressed up and Katie brought so much high-energy fun to the event.
She brought tons of hoops, taught the girls awesome new tricks, and even created interactive hoop tunnels for them to go through. It was so hands-on, unique and engaging from start to finish- the kids loved every minute of it. I cant recommend her enough!

We loved having Katie as a workshop instructor at High Altitude Hoop Retreat. She is an excellent hoop instructor who knows how to break down tricks and moves so they're easy to understand and accommodates her students in real time.
Also her Paint Hoop Jam she hosted was an unforgettable moment in HAHR history!
